Little Dragon - "Klapp Klapp" (2014)

A little bit of magic from everyone’s favourite Swedish band. Early on, the springy synths make you feel that you’re in for something a bit bigger than we usually hear from Little Dragon, more known for cute little tunes for the lounge at around 4pm.

Still, the grander, more emotive sound of this tune really fits Yukimi Nagano’s voice, and it feels really easy to get lost in her chanting of “Falling apart, apart, apart, apart, apart..”

And at least someone still releases B-sides! “Winners” is a delightful little song, with a bit more of the whimsy that you expect to hear from the group. They don’t really need to branch out too much anyway - they’ve nailed a sound which is infallibly pleasant to hear.
